Growing Together / Creciendo Juntos: As its title suggests, this sculpture, commissioned by Cornerstone Bank, embodies a close partnership with the Worcester community and a commitment to its flourishing. Developed through an iterative process by the artists (and city residents), José Criollo and Aaron Stephenson, the four sides showcase iconic cityscapes that hint at the rich cultural vibrancy and history at the heart of the commonwealth. A distinctive lighted cube bearing the bank’s logo crowns the piece, while inside, an illuminated display of shifting colors evokes the glow of neon at night, highlighting the scenes cut into the steel. The piece stands as a testament to Cornerstone Bank’s investment in public art and a recognition and celebration of the diverse and dynamic spirit of our city.
